We run a camp site at our base, Hjalli

Between Akureyri and Myvatn is by the main road (1) the small village of Laugar. To find us you turn there on road 846 and cross the bridge over the river and turn right. Half way upp the hill you turn right again and you are on the road to Hjalli. Drive this road to its end (2 km) and you have found us.

About the camp site

The camparea is divided by bushes and treas into small stands, each about 80-100 squere meters. Each group gets ist own stand (or more) and will therefor enjoy more privacy than on other camp sites in Iceland. Only few stands are with electricity.

Facilities

We have one service house with seperated toilets and hot showers for each gender. Facilities to do the dishes is outside under roof with running hot water.
